Leasing Questions
No appointment is necessary to tour our community; however, it is always appreciated if you call ahead to ensure we are available to provide adequate time for you to tour and ask questions. Please arrive no later than one-half hour before closing if you would like to tour the property. Everyone over 18 must have a valid photo ID to tour the community.
Our apartment homes are priced individually based on the amenities and features.
Application fees are $50 per person 18 and older occupying the apartment. There is also a $100 holding fee. You may pay these online by credit card or in our office with a cashier’s check. We do not accept cash, personal checks, or money orders. All application fees are nonrefundable.
Click on 'Login' in the upper right hand corner of our website, then click on 'Applicant.' Easily create an account and conveniently apply online through the applicant portal.
Residents are responsible for all utilities. Water, sewer, and trash are billed monthly. Gas and electricity are placed in the resident's name.
Security deposits will vary depending on qualifying criteria. Our security deposit ranges from $500 to 1.5x your monthly rent.
Rent is always due on or before the first of the month. A $95 late fee will be applied on the 4th of each month (even on weekends and holidays). All late rent payments must be paid in person in the office with a cashier's check only.
You can pay rent by setting up your online account on our website. This allows you to use a bank account (no fee) or credit card (with fee) to make payments.
At Emerald Creek Apartments, we welcome up to 2 pets, cats or dogs. There is a one-time, non-refundable $300 pet fee for one pet and an additional $200 for a second pet. The monthly pet rent is $30 per pet. Breed restrictions apply; please get in touch with the office.
Resident Questions
Yes, if the lease buy-out fee has been paid. A 60-day notice is required before vacating your apartment. Please ensure you reference your signed lease agreement and confirm policies with your Property Manager, as there could be unique circumstances.
Service members can break their lease without penalty in certain circumstances through the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Please get in touch with the property manager as soon as possible in this situation. You must provide written notice and a copy of your military orders.

You may call the office, send an e-mail, or contact our 24/7 emergency maintenance phone. You may also submit work orders online if enrolled in our online services.
Yes, if someone is temporarily staying with you, please let the office know so we can accommodate for parking. If someone is permanently moving in, or staying longer than 7 days, they will need to fill out an application to be added to your lease agreement.
We require a 60-day written notice, which you are responsible for, before moving out. If you need to move out at the end of your lease term, please remember to come in 60 days before the lease expires to provide your written notice.
Spectrum is our local provider. Please inquire with our office regarding any other cable/Internet providers.
No use or storage of grills is allowed, including but not limited to hibachi, charcoal, gas or electric grills. We do not allow cooking appliances to be used on balconies or patios.
If you are locked out during business hours, you can come to the office to be let back in your apartment. Repeated lock-outs result in lock-out fees; the first lock-out assistance, during business hours, is free. After-hours, you will need to contact a locksmith at your expense.
If you have lost your keys, you may have new keys made at our office during business hours. Fees apply.

Emerald Creek has most than exceeded my expectations. Well kept, our rooms are clean and spacious and the prices for a 2 bedroom are more than fair given the current economy. It's situated in a place that's around everything you need as a man: Walmart, Home Depot and Planet Fitness are right outside your window. And if you've got a pup, they have a dog park there. It's extraordinary and highly recommend it.

I greatly enjoyed my time in the apartment complex. The location in Traverse City is great, the nature reserve is beautiful, and the neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves. Maintenance is also prompt and efficient, and every unit has private laundry units. Overall I highly recommend this complex, and would have stayed longer if I wasn’t leaving Traverse City for work reasons.

We just moved In but I can say this is the best experience I’ve had with any apartment in the area! Maintenance is timely and punctual and the on site property management is very courteous and friendly. Lots of amenities and super close to pretty much anything you’d need on a daily basis. Overall would recommend!
